The Dragon Campaign
When I heard of DnD for the first time I’ve always wanted to do an all dragon campaign.
So I finally got the knowledge, friend group and courage to homebrew a whole new thing (including how EXP is calculated)(my total DM notes for gameplay (excluding plot) is 10k+ words) and i’ve started to test it out!
These are all their dragon characters and everything beyond their horns, eye color and spines are all randomized. Patterns, morphs and mutations were all rolled for. Colors weren’t predetermined and they had to shoot in the dark for what they got.
This is the funnest and most validating thing i’ve done all year. My players are having a blast and for writing up an entirely new race from scratch it’s going really well!
for the dnd ask meme: 5 for the games I dm because I'm a little vain dm boy, also 13, but could I ask for it in character with whatever character you think would be funniest?
5. oh god this means I have to remember PCs, Amensia campaign is Glade obv hes a good little man. Strahd is Ireena, even if I didn’t get to romance her she’s good but also Lydia because I have a lot of respect for that poor woman and her terrible husband. She puts up with a lot. Waterbeep I think is that rando cuck villian we found because he was funny.
13. I’m doing this for Eve because it’s hilarious (disclaimer, she only has first impressions)
Okay so most of them are kind of terrible. There’s a tiefling- her name is Pointy which from what I’ve learned isn’t even a name tieflings can have? So explain that. She’s like- fine in battle I guess but I don’t know. Weird.
Ugh there’s Ezra, he gave this whole self righteous speil about mercy and forgiveness he’s got a lot going on. Weirdly passionate about Tiamet for a good guy.
Freiya, she’s okay. Impulsive though, almost got Nyxi killed which I did not appreciate. She apologized but I’ll be keeping an eye on her.
Theta’s good. Hasn’t messed up yet so I’m pretty surprised by that.
Nyxis here too. She’s cool, works for me, generally does a better job of not almost dying than she did today though. I do not want her to do that again. Hard to replace.

When I Joined the Ranks...
When I joined the group of dragoons, it was exhilerating and frightening all at the same time. Diaz told us that we would be the first, and hopefully the last dragoons to ever see Endiness. I did not realize then how much I wished those words were true.
Diaz called us all together one day and asked us to join his army. "You seven react with the seven dragoon spirits. This means that you seven are the most worthy of this burden. Will you help me liberate the humans?"
We were all surprised. Some of us like Kanzas and Belzac did not feel like they were worthy. Belzac being a Giganto, a "lesser" race, and Belzac being a dishonerable discharge recipient for killing one of the commanders. He will not tell us why.
Shirley and I hit it off right away. She was the recipiant of the White Dragon Spirit and was the most understanding person I've ever met. We were complete opposites, I being the dark dragoon warrior and her being the light, but I guess opposites attract. We're still best friends even now. However, I don't get to see her often. It's close to never.
Shirley ended up falling for Belzac, the Giganto, much to our surprise. He died trying to save her life. They both died. Her dying words were "Your death won't be in vain." as she sacrificed her life to kill the monster that killed Belzac.
The recipiant of the Red Dragoon Spirit was Zieg Feld. He fit the description perfectly. Firey passion for everything he did, and it showed. He ended up being the leader of our team and was praised just as much as Diaz until his name was lost to time. The two of us were the greatest fighting partners of the group. We were seperated unfortunately when he died fighting Melbu Frahma, the Wingly that was oppressing humans. When Zieg stabbed him, he petrified him for an eternity. I thoguht he died, but Melbu's spirit remained inside him, attatched to the Dragoon Spirit.
When I obliterated the city of Neet in an attempt to kill the Moon Child, Zieg came out to fight me, not knowing that I was the Black Monster. When he summoned upon the spirit of the Red Dragooon, Melbu was released and took over Zieg's mind.
