I've been really into star trek lately so |D i'll go with that I think that far in the future especially with how advanced humans are and all the planetary contact they get, regressing is something that is a lot more open and accepted, especially on such long and extended missions such as the 5-yr ones
So each ship is specifically outfitted with the facilities and supplies needed for a wide range of regressors, both age and pet, and it is not at all uncommon to see it. There are specific play areas, daycare/nursery type areas, and such on ships that are available for use
Sometimes after stressful missions they just have shipwide no-work days so that everyone has a chance to unwind as needed, and especially be able to regress if needed <:) it would just be very nice to have those things
