Flamey Crafts - Dragon Scale Bag

I haven’t taken a lot of pictures of this product since I started working in earnest last week and it’s taken up my time. However, I did try some new things with this bag.

This is my first time trying a duel color bag. I did the lining in a different color and to tie the color together more with the bag, I made the top out of the same yarn.

I also attached the lining by just stitching the top and the scales together when I got the lining up to the same level. It makes it a smoother side. However, I wish I decided to do the duel color sooner.

As you can see the lining shows a little through the bottom and stuff like that bugs me. If the base of the bag is the same color as the lining, that won’t show. I also feel like if the base is the same as the lining color it will keep the colors feeling more like a theme.

I made a cord drawstring for this bag too.

But imo it doesn’t suit. The pale color of the string and silver just didn’t show like the last bag. As such, I decided to use the scale color as the cord and I think it turned out great.

It really brings the silver into the red in a way that I think it otherwise would not. As is, this is a winner. I’m really happy I made it and I already want to make another one just for myself, but Saturday is my mom’s birthday and I need to hurry to make her some presents.
