ROUND 2 BATTLE 3: DURANDEL V NEZZAR Durandal / Nezzar
Time to introduce our second guest appearance! Durandal is a newcomer to battling competitively; will he be able to best four-time participant Nezzar? Both are sturdy dragons and we hope they'll give us an exciting match!
The battle starts with a powerful blow from Durandal! He moves faster than Nezzar to launch a Dragon Pulse, intending to end this match quickly. Nezzar takes a direct hit! Can he withstand such a strong blow?!
And he does! Nezzar remains standing, with barely any HP to spare, to hit back with a counterattack! What move will he choose? He goes with the super-effective Earthquake! The ground crumbles and cracks around Durandal as he takes the full force of the attack-- can he tough it out?
Nezzar isn't waiting for an answer and dashes directly to confront Durandal in the settling dust. But what's this?! Durandal not only has survived the Earthquake, but he's setting up for another Dragon Pulse! Nezzar is in real trouble here!
It's a hit! Nezzar can't handle another Dragon Pulse with what little HP he has and faints, ending the battle. What a nail-biting blow-by-blow that was! Both battlers had their HP reduced to almost nothing by the end of the first turn.
Congratulations to Durandal for the hard-fought win! Both dragons did their best to move on, but there can be only one. Durandal surprised us with his skills, but Nezzar did fantastic with his battle performance. Thank you to both fighters for the great battle! Durandal will be moving on to the third round.
