👐 – hugging them

He grunts, jolting upright slightly as the press of her body against his side stirs him from his half-sleep. His neck is just beginning to crick from being sunk chin to chest, but he is quick to subside again; it is only her.
She shuffles, trying to find somewhere comfortable to put her head given his spiny shoulders, and her arms go around his middle. He gives an amused snort, to which she doesn’t respond, sunk in an uncomfortable position against him that will give her a worse neck crick than his if she doesn’t fall off first.
“Ridiculous,” he murmurs, and gently pulls her up into his lap, where she can curl into a ball with his chest for a pillow, and he can rest his chin on the top of her head, an arm slung around her. He drifts off again to the soft pulse of her breath.

Erik folded his black, scalled wings against his sides, claws nearly the size of his previous mortal body’s arms digging into the thin roof of the Word Wall he was perched on. His long, spiky tail swung impatiently as he raised his snout to the air, nostrils flairing to catch her smell.
He felt her soul before he smelled her scent, so familiar now after all the time they’ve spent together. His tail stopped swinging as he lowered his long neck, scalled lips raised slightly in an attempt to smile.
“As usual, you are late. What has taken you so long, Sva?”

Erik sighed and shook his head, his ponytail swinging at the same time. He put down the parchment he had filled with Dovahzul alphabet and its matching pronunciation in Tamrielic alphabet underneath each letter. He’d thought it’d be easier this way for Svanna to memorize them, and so had prepared the paper before their lesson.
He had been outraged when he had realized that she couldn’t speak well Dovahzul. A Dovahkiin, a dragon, not knowing their own language? It was a mistake that needed correcting. Especially since it’d give Alduin and his dragons yet another reason to look down on them and dismiss them as mere mortals. Erik wouldn’t be able to stand being thought as inferior. Even though it’d give him an advantage over the World-Eater.
After all, he had took up Dovahzul and studied it intensively until he mastered it just because Alduin had mocked him about it, back in Kynesgrove. Which he found very unfair, especially since he did understand a bit what Alduin was Shouting. He actually found to his own surprise that he was better able to focus on it than any other language. He still wasn’t capable to read in extended periods without zoning out, but it was clearly better than Common Tongue.
“It’s Aa, not A. This one is A.” He said as he pointed a tiny sharp letter on the top of the scroll. “Pronunciation is very important in our language, don’t forget that. Now look. This is A, then Aa, then Ah.” He took another parchment and a quill and noted the three letters. “The first two have a point, and you’ll need to remember the position of the scratches to make the difference between them, but the third is just three sharp claw marks.”
