     🔥——     Wings as dark as   n i g h t   slicing through the air as Alduin flew, a new resurrection was calling for him --- his destiny, his   f a t e   , to raise all loyal dragons once again, to serve the only fight & purpose that ever had mattered to him --- world domination.

     Alduin circled above a burial mound, ground around it seared with his   f i e r y   r a g e   , his unyielding thu’um. His roar so loud & strong the canopies shook from its force, as he prepared for resurrection.

     He was not expecting her - not then, not there, not anything like what she was. It felt like he’d been struck by lightning, and not because of the energy or the tearing reality required to bring her there - but because suddenly there was a dragon only feet from him, and that presence to him - a hunter of dragons - was like a magnetic force. He turned, expecting to see what he felt - a monster of teeth and scales - and let off the bolt of electricity before he’d laid eyes on what was really there.

A young woman, fading into this hellish realm, which at first didn’t make sense but then- 

“You-”

Of course. Of course. What else could she be? Something incredible. Something like him.

"You are Dragonborn. I can feel it.”

“...didn’t know where else to go...”

“Shit,” was the first word he let out, and it sure summarized the situation well. There he was, standing on his muddy doorstep, rain pouring down on him and Svanna, who looked like she had gotten mauled by a dragon. Or a bear, at the very least.

“Fuck me,” he added, and despite her protests, swung her up and carried her inside. He searched through his medicinal cabinet, taking out stitches, scissors, bandages and a couple health potions.

“I warn you, this is going to hurt, so brace yourself and don’t Shout my house apart.” He laid down his gear next to the couch, and crouched down to look at the large gash on her abdomen. “Fuck, you know you could’ve gotten yourself killed? What in Oblivion were you thinking? Fuck- Here, it’s fine now, I’ll stitch it, and you’ll be good as new.” He cupped her wet cheek with one hand, locking their gazes. “You’ll be fine, but don’t ever fucking do this again.”

     He grunts, jolting upright slightly as the press of her body against his side stirs him from his half-sleep. His neck is just beginning to crick from being sunk chin to chest, but he is quick to subside again; it is only her.

She shuffles, trying to find somewhere comfortable to put her head given his spiny shoulders, and her arms go around his middle. He gives an amused snort, to which she doesn’t respond, sunk in an uncomfortable position against him that will give her a worse neck crick than his if she doesn’t fall off first.

“Ridiculous,” he murmurs, and gently pulls her up into his lap, where she can curl into a ball with his chest for a pillow, and he can rest his chin on the top of her head, an arm slung around her. He drifts off again to the soft pulse of her breath.

When Alduin is caught off guard, he usually gets very tense, & he becomes nervously talkative, & will try to dominate the situation with that. If the situation is threatening, aggression ( again, usually verbal ) isn’t out of the question either.
