Hey! I'm thinking about what to do after school and my No. 1 school right now would be King's College. At the same time, I would love to take a gap year and do voluntary work. Do you know if that would decrease my chances to get accepted for the college?
Hey! good choice honestly.
Gap Years are being taken more often these days so it will not decrease your chances AT ALL!
What matters is that you take time during that gap year to do things that will stand out, and are relevant to what you want to do in school the following year. Voluntary work is great, but if you're applying for a global economy program, maybe serving at the local animal shelter isn't the best use of your time.
You're going to be fine, and i can't wait to hear when you get accepted to Kings!
