The third son of Quater, Numeron was the hardest since he had no full body image in the Hall of Records, so I had to rely on my own spin of other artist renditions of him.     

 “The second largest of Quater’s son’s known to dragon kind, Numeron is well known for creating three hundred clones of himself instead of son’s. A rather unnerving discovery found in this kingdom was the aftermath of purge within a large canyon, while the sudden eruption of lava could be considered natural it's believed this was the kings doing by many dragons.”

The fourth son of Quater, Ottoborg was the easiest to make with all the references thanks to the fandom! As you can tell I moved the eye’s on his palms to his wings with added detail.

“Not much is known about Ottoborg and even less about the Hoophead dragons he created. Records show the planet they were native to fell apart due to the lack of gravity, however large chunks of this world have been spotted drifting through space. One thing is noted about this king however is his mastery of creating the massive AI dragons that now roam the universe.”

The sixth son of Quater and the last main character of the Neverhood game. I gave Hoborg very large wings since he traveled across the galaxy to find the mountain’s made of purest klay. Unfortunately due to the perspective of the art I could not find a place to add the injury he got along the way.

“The king of the Neverhood is seen as the most calm, yet he has truly been through a lot to get to where he is now. While his wings may have carried him vast distances in search of the purest klay, it is said one of Ottoborg’s sons came to his aid when things got tough. Maybe now he can settle in his new kingdom and begin creating Neverhoodians without any more trouble.”

Only eight more to go before I finish this project for now. Fun fact, Bil was drawn with the body shape of a t-rex in mind while the Clockwork Beast has one of an indominus rex. 

“Not all AI made by dragons are helpful,at least to those with a good moral compass anyway. Guarding the gates of the Neverhood castle, this twisted amalgamation of metal and possibly organic parts is a good example as to why some dragons should not master the art of robotics.”

The fifth son of Quater, I wanted to bring in more of the insect features with Homen to go along with the Ynts. I also decided to interpret the two lines on his face below his eyes in the Hall of Records as two mouths, he looks the most alien out of the seven I think.

“Homen’s creations like their creator were more insect-like then most dragons. Found all over the universe the Ynts tended to get into wars with each other on their home planet, the worst being between the Blue Ynts and the White Ynts since this ended up involving Homen himself as well as his son Pinto Bunyan.”

For anyone who didn’t read the wall of text in Armikrog, Tzurk is the name of P’s foster father whose spirit gives you hints throughout the game.    

 “Souls or spirits of dragons long passed haunting objects and buildings was once seen as a myth, however new research shows a strange phenomenon can happen if one touches a powerful object known as The heart of the mountain”

The seventh son of Quater and the last character in my Dragonhood project! Will I be doing more in the future? Yes, I will most definitely be revisiting this project again but for now I need to get back into some of my other art.

“Seemingly made out of living metal,Arven is not only the youngest of the seven kings but the fastest. Four wings propel him through space at an alarming speed, only stopping for extremely brief moments to create new life on many planets. Most can be considered questionable on how such creatures survive, yet by some miracle this dragon king has made countless stable environments.”

The seven kings are the final leg of this project, Starting with the first son of Quater, Ogdilla. Why didn’t this take as long as the rest of my art? Well this one is less drawing and more Photoshop, I just needed to make his shape then use some old techniques to give it a space look and that's not as hard or as time consuming as drawing detail, adding color and shading.  

“The seven kings of the clay universe are kind of like demigods it seems, creators of worlds as well as the life upon them, it is truly a sight to spot one roaming their kingdom. The first as well as the most uncommon to spot is none as Ogdilla, this only partially aware and adventurous cloud of space gas is the largest of his siblings. Planets are carried within the living stardust as it flies to who knows where. ”
