🌙 Smaugust 1/31 Southern cassowary First entry, inspired by a southern cassowary! I absolutely love these birds, tbh they already look like dragons 🐲🐦❤️💙 I will definitely try with less complicated artworks next time, but I must say that I had a lot of fun painting this illustration!

Why did you forsake me — Hey ho Folks :D

A new artwork for the week (hooray) and it’s a traditional piece ☺️! Around a month ago, I draw a flowery dragon portrait with forget-me-nots and hyacinths . I loved the vibe of this artwork so much, that I decided to do a corresponding piece. And voilà — here is :3.

I decided to do a western dragon this time and I chose black dahlias and orange lilies for the flowers. Because this dragon looks for ferocious, angry and heartbroken, I decided to go with a contrasting color palette. Which means the dragon itself is dark, with the red and gold accent give it more a wild and intense look. In the second slide, I put them together in one Photo and I must say, they look gorgeous together. To me, it feels like, they were together once, but get somehow falling apart.

Well I had really fun and maybe I will start a small series with them :D We will see…

Also do you think, that the black dragon is a girl. Well I think „she“ is ;D.
