The Tomarry/Harrymort community on AO3 has spoiled me badly

Like I don’t write solely for the sake of comments let me just put that out there first thing, I do it to improve my skills so I can actually publish something one day and because I straight up enjoy it, but this community has legit spoiled me. Especially Glass Serpent when I get like thirty comments a chapter. And then I write for another pairing in another fandom that’s not as popular, have a ton of fun with the plot but feel like I’m just hurling something into the void. I know it’s not true and that i’ve gotten a lot more engagement that i actually expected but I still can’t help feeling that way.

On top of that I’ve become really invested in The Black and the White out of a probably unhealthy level of nostalgia for WoW and am minorly terrified of my pile of other fics and school related crap I have looming over me.

DRAGON DRAGON DRAGON like is anyone shocked? i got into medieval stuff when i was a little kid, knights and princesses and magic and dragons and all that. except i never wanted to slay the dragons, i wanted to befriend the dragons. and then there was sleeping beauty and the first time i saw maleficent turn into that badass dragon i was like #goals except we didn’t say #goals back then but that is what my little four-year old heart was feeling.

I was just happily going about my business, playing with my dragons, when I suddenly got hit with this Combeferre/Courfeyrac AU and then I told annaroserae about it and now with her encouragement, I really want to write it.

…But dragons. But Camp NaNoWriMo where I'm meant to be writing a different fic for a big bang. But the two other big bangs I'm signed up to. But dragons.
