BACK IN THE BOOKSHOP: MOUNTAIN ECSTASY by NIK DOUGLAS and PENNY SLINGER (1978) • 1st printing of this fantastic collage classic from 1978 by Penny Slinger and Nik Douglas, published by Dragon's Dream of Paris. 158 pages of full-colour sensual and kaleidoscopic photographic collage art and poetry. • "'Mountain Ecstasy' was my celebration of Tantric alchemy, freed from any restrictions, out of the confines of the house ('An Exorcism') and into the wide-open Technicolor landscapes of the high Himalayas. I never really thought of the collages as being material for a book - as they were rather outrageous - but Dragon's Dream wanted to publish. Whereas 'An Exorcism' had been mostly my own photographs, the images for 'Mountain Ecstasy' were nearly all 'objects trouves'. I had traveled for the first time in exotic parts (India, Nepal, Thailand) and the work reflects this input. Hugged

A new dragons dream after quite some time yay! So I was at an Imagine Dragons concert (obviously) with some friends from the flamily (I don't exactly know who of them anymore though) standing somewhere 2nd or 3rd row Ben's side with a nice view on the band. Having one hell of a good time as always. Side note: could've been the Amsterdam show I've been to this February according to where I was standing but who knows. Pretty much somewhere in the middle of the show then, Platz came down from the stage and went to the barrier that was like right in front of me. Of course everyone started pushing that direction to get a chance to touch him; me included. As I was standing pretty close to the barrier already I managed to reach his shoulder and then get a high five and I was happy already. But then I saw how Platz started hugging some of my friends who had been in front of me all the time and god did I want a Platz hug too! So long story short: while the rest of ye crowd at that time almost pulled Platz over the barrier in an attempt to get a hug (somehow the security wasn't even existent in my dream) I made my way through to the front and then miraculously they all made some space and Platz hugged me tightly. (small detail: he was wearing his 9:30 shirt - idk why I remember that so well though) Then Platz went back on stage and the concert went on with him drumming. I made my way back to the spot I had stood in before (idk why I would do that if I had made it to the front before but whatevs). I was so happy that he had hugged me that I kept jumping up and down excitedly telling basically everyone around "Platz hugged me" Well and then the dream was over and I slept on being the happiest fangirl in the world.

Yea...I kinda run out of titles for my dragons dreams but that doesn’t stop me from sharing them with you anyways, so here we go:

My family and I were somewhere in the world - I can’t  be more precise about the exact place I can just tell you that we were in a buliding and there were loads of stairs we walked down. So my family and I were there because of the Dragons (what else tbh?) and we were pretty much around them all the time with aome other fans I had never seen before. Mac was also there and I hoped to meet him after whatever they had to do there as well. So we waited a while until they came out to the stairs we were standing. We kinda let the other fans take photos with them first as we kinda wanted to talk to them for a while. Then it was our turn - finally -  so I think all of us got ready to take the picture when my mom asked me “so where do you wanna stand for the picture?” and just went in to sit down right in front of Dan and he just out both his arms around me so I died happily with a wide smile on the face when the picture was taken. After that I asked Dan if I could hug him and he went “sure” and pulled me closer. To give me the LONGEST DAN REYNOLDS HUG EVER. I kinda burried my head in his white shirt (that detail tho) and started sobbig a little while I thanked him for the incredible weekend in Amsterdam that had just passed (that was the moment I knew when in the course of time the dream took place -a month ago) and Dan just went like “aawww” before we stopped hugging. I probably also talked a little to the rest of the band (that detail is one of those that went lost after I woke up) but I know that I then went on looking if I could meet Mac as well. I thought I had found him but when the man turned around it wasn’t Mac. Just in that moment the dream ended and as always it left me with that warm feeling I always have when I dream about the Dragons.

Two Dragons Dreams in one night

Haven’t had a dream with my faves the Dragons in a long time, but now they’re back, yay! And yes, two nights ago, I had two in one night and they both were nice - even though the second one was kinda weird as well. So, off I go sharing them with you: 1) My family and I were in some building I don’t know where in the world but we had an appointment there and were just on the way to the room we were supposed to go when I saw Dan Reynolds taking a selfie with some random fangirl. I got extremely excited and hurried ovver to him. And even though he seemed to be in a hurry to get to his next appointment he stopped when he saw me sp I went all in and asked “Hey, can I get a hug?” Dan smiled and hugged me - he wrapped his strong arms around me and I was surrounded by a wonderfully warm feeling I wish it had never ended - and after we hugged I asked if we could quickly take a photo and he was just like “Yea sur” and smiled again. But as my hands were to shaky because of my excitement so I ran over to my dad and let him take the photo and then Dan went off and I totally freked out like “This was the BEST HUG EVER” and dad just shook his head like “why is my daughter this crazy?” After the dream I was just half asleep realizing this best hug ever by Dan Reynolds  was just a dream but I was still kinda covered in that warm feeling so it was easy to fall asleep again-

2)My family and I went out of that building from the frist dream and suddenly stood on top of beautiful mountains covered in snow and an extreme sports event - free style skiing or snowboarding I figured - was taking place. Then there was a cut and we sat in front of the TV at home seemingly watching that same event and the commentator just told that Dan Reynolds would also take part and we all were like “WHAT?!” The camera switched and we saw the rest of Imagine Dragons, but Ben and Platz were shirtless and all out of a sudden Ben jumped into the next big snow heap - head first. My sis and I started laughing so hard like “Yea, that’s Ben!” And then it was Dan’s turn but he wasn’t skiing or snowboarding - he was mountainbiking (WHAT?!) He was good, so we were like “yesness he’s winning” But then at his highest jump a tandem appeared out of nowhere and they crashed. Dan somehow managed to not fall down but a jump thingy later he fell down and there was a bridge so he almost fell down that bridge. But, no worries, rescue was on the way: Platz appeared out of nowhere and pulled Dan up again so everything was fine even though Dan was out the competetion. And we all were pretty relieved. Then that dream was over as well and I woke up shortly after.

Yeap, that’s it. And that’s what my dreams do: Random place / time / action switches and people and things appearing out of nowhere and probably without even a reason.
