so despite my online presence i’m very tentative about people knowing i have Interests, right?, so when i’m drawing and aware that other people will be observing me usually i pick very specific “socially acceptable” subjects, such as a kitties, generic dragons, and toothless. but this new year’s eve i got bored of those and wanted to bend my self-prescribed rules a bit, so i supposed that, well, Hiccup isn’t the most recognizable character ever, he’s kind of just a guy and certainly i don’t draw him that accurately? so okay, we sketch a little of the dragon boy and LO AND BEHOLD! somebody ACROSS the room asks, “is that Hiccup?”, literally catching me in my DEVIOUS, MALEVOLENT act of drawing generic headshot fanart. how could they…
