CARIO'S DAGGER 🗡️
How confident are we that Cario's dagger has something about his lineage on it? I'm thinking more specifically that it has his father's mark/crest or something that was a gift from his father to his mother, to impress or swoon her, and she gave it to cario when she left and or taken away from cario. That would be an interesting additional detail to the item and a good reason why he's so protective as it is one of the last traces of his parents in his life. Something real that makes him feel more connected to what could've been. It would be very interesting to have Serius needing/wanting to return it and notice a familiar crest that he's seen so many times. Wonder how'd he react. I think it could be something idk if it will ever come up but at least something to think about. Feel free to let me know what your takes on our squire's dagger are.
Dragon Slayer/Serius Character Rant
Dragon slayer from GBAudios is an interesting take with getting a glimpse into an earlier New Tennessee.
It establishes known names and gives us newer ones. It's quite informative the justifications of how bastards are that the ruling class seems to teach to those below them. It puts into focus why specifically the bastards we know are treated as lower than low.(posting this a bit after episode 3)
I appreciate Serius in his current state and believe me I've seen people not like him because he's awful to Cario. I get it I truly do I understand that there also a power dynamic between the two as a knight I am guessing is nobility of some kind and a squire who is a bastard. With all that being said I'm willing to give him grace because, he's at the start of his development as a character in the start of his tale, hes going to be rough and not very sympathetic at first. I am also having this in mind that Serius was raised fairly privileged and hasn't truly interacted with anyone like Cairo and only has the stories and how he was taught to use a reference. He's going to need more than a kiss-and a few conversations with him to fully expand his knowledge to absorb that. I do hope as he gets to understand Cario more and his perspective starts to shift and he becomes more understanding but for now we'll have to wait and see.
Rant aside I am excited to see how dragon slayer goes and how this duo will face challenges both external and internal.
*cough* A gender swapped version of this is Serius and(Cario) Squire's love hate relationship. The one singing I imagine would be squire.*cough*
