                 IT WAS A WARM DAY - the sun was shining brightly and the turtle ducks were swimming around in the pond lazily. How much he loved this weather, this warmth, the sun on his skin and the smell of flowers all around him. The Gardens were more than beautiful around this time of the year and they were perfect for training too -- but today, Thas was busy with his own training and his father said something about a meeting with the Fire Lord -- ❝Azula!❞ he called out for his cousin when he saw her strolling along. ❝come here, feed the turtle ducks with me❞

how does mai deal with cold temperatures ? does she prefer them over a hot climate or...?

   I didn’t expect this to be as difficult to answer as it ended up being. I spent a whole lot of time debating with myself whether Mai would dislike the cold due to being so used to the Fire Nation’s warm climate, or if she’d like it better than a hot climate since those can be so uncomfortable at times. The overall conclusion I’ve reached is that Mai wouldn’t like extreme temperatures of any kind, and would be equally unhappy if it was too cold or too hot. A moderate weather is what would make her more comfortable and happy. 

   Nevertheless, I’d say she actually prefers cold temperatures than hot in spite of living in the Fire Nation (or due to it?). When it’s too hot, the kinds of clothes she likes to wear are not as comfortable, staying close to people is not comfortable, doing the minimum effort will end up with you being sweaty so… there’s a lot of unpleasantness going on and Mai would just very much like to avoid it. Firebenders are likely less sensitive to the warmth of their country when it comes to those things, but as a nonbender Mai doesn’t have this sort of advantage.

   That said, she doesn’t enjoy feeling cold of course; I guess that being someone in a comfortable economic position, she’d have enough luxury in her life to make sure she’d be able to stay warm even if the weather was cold though. Mai would particularly appreciate any sort of thing that would make her warm and comfy in the cold weather; she’d like long, warm baths even more so in colder days; or to just stay inside sipping tea and reading something, or even cuddling.

Another five weaves have made the way up to site, which I do look forward to seeing in shiny anodized aluminium colors sometime when I have the spare rings or commissions to match up. I'm particularly enjoying Dragonsteps, it is both enjoyable to look at, as well as a neat feeling texture.
