You emmenate warmth and caring. The smaller ones understand this and seek you in this cold weather.

For family is not always chosen. Sometimes it is found.

I dance on the wind with grace and beauty. Cutting delicately through the clouds on winds gentle and free. The hollow rattle and shake of old windchimes from wind stirred from my landing. Though I ruffle my feathers against the cold , I find shelter within my lair. Surrounded by the gentle rattle and twinkle of delicate windchimes guiding me to a restful sleep.

There is a certain feeling when I'm around you. One personally. Even I. Do not quite understand. Though I do not strive to find out. I will bask in its glow. And enjoy it like the most precious of gems in such a dark eistence.

I stretch my wings and lounge in the sunlight. I am lavish and golden. I have tricked many a traveller close into my trap. Into my jaws. Drawn in by their lust for treasure. Though you have managed to resist the temptations of wealth. Taking my hide for a profit. You have come and gone and stay by my side. And I. Stay by yours. Protecting you. You are the greatest treasure.
