hello yes I was wondering what exactly is asmr? is it like some kind of kink?? I feel so dumb I'm sorry for bothering u

ohhhhh no it’s not a kink actually! uwu although some people do call it headgasms or braingasms haha

it’s short for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response; basically the relaxing and tingly feeling that you get in your head, spine, and sometimes limbs, from certain sounds, actions, etc.not everyone has it, but a lot of people do, to varying degrees and triggered by different types of things. i only recently learned about it and it explained a lot, like why i’ve always enjoyed listening to the sound of my cats purring so much or why i can listen to the same video or even a small portion of a video just because i like the way it sounds. it’s a great stress reliever -w- an online community has actually been started based around it and people make videos specifically designed to trigger the response!
