It's raining tantalisingly and it's dark, not a single ray of sunlight the whole day. Only thing reminding us of daytime is the moody cold light from the fluorescent lamps indicating the office hours are still going. The wind is heavy and freezing. Leaves have escaped the tree branches and are now lying on the wet ground. This is the typical autumn weather here in Finland.
The one thing keeping my thoughts warm and bright is this beautiful release by absnt from 2012, titled draind, which so effortlessly captures the scene and ambiance of the dark North. It's not all negative when you look at it from the right perspective, with the right mindset – and especially with the right soundtrack.
