So, can Giovanni do the 13th hit thing because of soup or was he actually telling the truth and he can do it just because?

I’m gonna be real, the very first draft of Epithet was much more tabletop-inspired and had in-universe dice rolls and passive abilities and level-ups. By the time that changed I had already written Giovanni’s CRITICAL 13 ability into two different fights and one moment I really didn’t want to change, so it’s just kind of... hand-waved as a magical ability that he has.

Do you think Kirby's moveset will change with his new games?

I don't really know. Sakurai tends to be a little traditional with movesets, probably so people who use the characters won't be weirded out by the new moves. I mean, Ganondorf didn't have any major changes in his moveset after being a sword wielding badass in Twilight Princess. And Samus kept her "Super Metroid" moveset after the whole Prime series.He does tweak the characters a little bit, though. Kirby is actually a good example of that. Oh, and Pit has some Uprising moves, now.We'll have to wait and see, I guess.
