“Anything, your Majesty.”
Farah let a smirk tug at her lips, knowing this job might be one of her easiest yet. Corrin was so easily swayed, so trusting… It would take almost no effort to infiltrate her forces and become part of her army.
The only problem was finding Corrin’s hideout. Farah guessed she was hiding in Hoshidan territory, like the little traitorous rat she was. In fact, ALL of Corrin’s siblings were traitorous. Just a few days before, Leo and Xander left King Garon and joined Corrin’s army. And some days before that, Elise and Camilla left. It made Farah sick, the way they defied the King. She couldn’t imagine doing something like that after all he and the nobles had done for her.
Once she left the castle, she got on the road. Since she didn’t have any family or friends, Farah didn’t need to do anything before heading out of Nohr.
She walked for days before finally reaching the Bottomless Canyon, the gateway between the kingdoms of Nohr and Hoshido. It was eerily quiet. Cautiously, Farah took a step onto the bridge. It creaked underneath her tiny feet. “I hate this stupid bridge…” She muttered, taking another ginger step forward.
It was then that her suspicions were validated. A Hoshidan Ninja appeared in front of her, seemingly out of thin air. Farah brandished her knife, holding it in front of her to block the ninja’s attacks. The ninja did nothing, only stood there. Farah cocked her head in confusion.
“Hello? Aren’t we supposed to fight?” She called to him. The ninja smirked and walked over to her slowly. “Hey hey hey, not one step closer, ya hear?”
The ninja disobeyed her command. He took one more baby step closer. Farah growled, hardening her features. “Who do you think ya are?” She lunged at him, her dagger held out in front of her.
The ninja grabbed her wrist and for the first time, Farah got a good look at the man. To her horror, she found that he was transparent. “WHAT THE FUCK? LET ME GO!” She yelled, trying to get out of the ninja’s grip. For once, the invisible man obeyed her. And for the millionth time, Farah felt like she was falling. She didn’t scream. She didn’t move. Farah just let herself fall. She let herself fall until, suddenly, she stopped.
She took a deep breath and opened her eyes. The world before her was a peculiar sight to behold. There were chunks of floating land, broken down buildings, and the sky was a pure, cloudless blue.
