Today’s mini-lesson! The shoulder can be tricky to understand, but I think the key is the skeletal structure, especially the scapula! It’s a major “boney landmark” on the back, easy to spot and helpful for figuring out where to put the deltoid.
PLUS two of the three heads (the side and back heads)of the deltoid connect to it! (BTW- The front head connects to the clavicle. The Clavicle and Scapula form the “shoudler girdle” )
So if you can train your eye to spot the scapula, and remember which muscles connect to what parts of it, it’ll make drawing the shoulder MUCH easier!
