I fixed the ending.
Fuck you Abrams. Ben deserves to be happy. Rey deserves a family.
He is Benjamin Organa Solo.
He is the son of Han Solo. He is wild, reckless, and surprisingly compassionate. He pilots ships as easily as he breathes and luck has nothing to do with it.
He is the son of Leia Organa, endlessly brave and sharp-witted. He doesn’t have the patience for diplomacy like his mother but is no less of a leader.
He is the grandson of Anakin Skywalker. His emotions are raw, fierce, and deep, caught on the tails of his sleeves and only barely tempered and controlled.
He is the grandson of Padmé Amidala. He is kind and believes in the good in people.
He loves calligraphy and books.
He dreams of open skies.
He loves and is loved.
This is The Way.

Warm light gilded Rey and Ben as Naboo’s sun slowly drifted towards the horizon. They had left the dead sands of Tatooine behind, instead seeking shelter in the old Royal Palace. There, the two of them sat along the water’s edge and talked as the night rose around them.
Rey listened patiently as Ben slowly unwound memories from a life almost forgotten — stories of his dad and the Falcon, his nightmares of BX, of what happened at the Academy, and how much he missed his mother. His words painted the loneliness of his childhood; a loneliness Rey understood all too well. She reached for Ben’s hand and he smiled.
“You’re not alone anymore,” whispered, her voice gentle and soft as the dying sunlight.
“And neither are you.”
Apparently, I can track my artistic growth over the past 5 years through my reylo art.
I’m so salty y’all.
