Two Week Taster - Drawing
Evaluation - Illustration
After the painting outcome, I like this final outcome second-most. The bright colours are very nice to look at, and I think that I was able to find a good balance of colours used. as much as there may be very dominant colours I feel that there is a least one interesting focal area at each of the four corners to keep the piece more of, an artwork to be looked at as a whole rather than just having one focal point. What I’m most proud of is how I found a way to capture a way to visually represent how I feel about music (If it is not clear from the artwork, I was drawing a vintage radio at different angles). The myriad of colours to represent the various feelings a song can make you feel. The alternating colour to represent the idea of alternating genres and their off-beat approach to music. The black and grey looks like a vinyl record.
There are obvious downsides like, it’s not final at all, by a long shot. There were other techniques that I wanted to explore other than watercolour and electric tape, but again the time given for each final outcome doesn’t give me enough time to have thought of that back then.
My favourite areas are where the different technique meet and kinda mix and interchange with each other. It’s something that I would like to explore later with my other work.
