DRAWING ASSESSMENT 01

Here comes my first drawing assessment per se. If you just happened to find this post without context, i'm learning to draw and this my personal review on the past month and improvements.

Here is the explanation of my grading system.

I hope this can give you some ideas 😊

The stats

As you can see I globally improved a bit everywhere except in colour theory and composition because i just didn't practice!

I feel like a practiced anatomy well but i still have much to learn!

DRAWING ASSESSMENT 00

Hello, so this is my first post and I’m so excited about talking about my drawing assessment method, since basically it shows the areas in which I want to improve.

This is basically the video in which I’m taking my categories/skills I want to imrpove to improve my drawing skills overall.

Here they are:

CONSTRUCTION: do no draw the outline of things, construct by using shapes and understand the volumes.

PERCEPTION: draw what you see not the symbols you see in your head.

GESTURE: makes characters feel alive, figure drawing and capture how humans act.

ANATOMY.

COLOUR THEORY.

RENDERING: shading and making the drawing look like a form.

PERSPECTIVE: represent a 3D object, buildings and characters alike.

COMPOSITION: arrangement of the image.

I’m seriously thinking about creating an excel sheet to track my progress haha! So far I’m using my bujo and a scale from one to ten. I’ll show you in my drawing assessment number one ;)
