Do draws positively or negatively affect tie-breaks? I've wondered about this because it seems like it would be possible for players to agree to draw a number of games before even beginning their regular match and throwing off tie breaks.
Negatively.
They affect the second and third tiebreaker: Played Games Won Percentage (PGW%) and Opponents’ Games Won Percentage (OGW%). These stats are calculated taking the total number of games won divided by the number of games played, including drawn games.
So if you’ve played eight games and have won four, drawn two, and lost two, your PGW is 50%, the same as it would be if you’d lost those two games instead of drawing them.
