So this sticker set has taken off way more than I ever expected, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the love, reblogs, and kind messages. Truly.
That said, a few folks have confidently declared these stickers to be “obviously AI” by citing things like: 1. The grainy texture. 2. The warm off white background and 3. The wording of the blog that went along with it. Which is honestly impressive, considering this is 1 post and a handful of stickers.
Soooooooo, I figured I’d share something fun: process shots from creating the final sticker in the set, from sketch to finish, which also brings the collection to an even 10.
*The “grain”? That’s a texture effect I chose on purpose.
**The “yellow discoloration”? Also intentional. Stark white felt harsh. I like warmth, so sue me lol
***The wording? Uh…That’s just…me? I’ve been writing and drawing longer than some of these accusors have been alive.
No generators. No prompts. Just rough sketches, layout guides, lineart, color passes, effects layers AND an embarrassing number of tiny adjustments
If you enjoy the art, thank you! That genuinely means the world. If you don’t, that’s okay too but these pieces are 100% handmade, start to finish, by an artist who still loves the process and isn’t outsourcing it to a machine.
Anyway, here’s the behind the scenes look, one more sticker for the set and a gentle reminder that not every texture is a robot.
