I watched @nathanlongs drawtectives s3 ep 1+2 breakdown and they pointed out the slug man, and I KNOW WHATS UP WITH THE SLUG MAN.
So I have supplied context!!! For the slug man!!! I remembered!!!
Nathan long doesn’t seem active on tumblr but I hope they see this cause I feel proud for remembering 🫡 maybe someone already pointed this out lmao
This clip is from Drawfee’s Zillow video btw!
Hey, chat, does The Animatronic usually rhyme its words? Because I thought its speech was pretty stilted, and as i finish up the transcripts... there's a rhyming scheme that's going on that reminds me quite a bit like The Snake's in the newest note...
okay i'm back! this is brief and messy but. we see The Animatronic only speak a little bit. I'm going to provide screenshots of largest speaking moments below:
first rhyme– with Rosé, an immediate you/who scheme
to be honest, i'm not sure if animatronic has a slant rhyme with department, but there's something odd going on between those words. i'm not an english major. i plead the fifth. but there's a lyricality to it!
and then here, again! he does it twice, with No/though, and then too/you! with these two, interestingly, he breaks up the rhyming scheme with an extra phrase or word– and where do we see that next?
The Snake.
the snake, in this note, has some pretty good rhymes– but they immediately break up the flow with the inclusion of Spots and It (despite there being ways of phrasing this that makes it rhyme! like or should i market off my list of spots for relaxation?) i wonder why this happens, and i'm fully pulling at straws, but the animatronic's speech sounded off from the last we've heard him– which is odd if they're all the same make and model!
so. noted with some other theories this handwriting looks slightly different. could this not be from the animatronic? could the animatronic be working with the snake? i dunno bestie. i’m just putting things together and thinking :)
Okay so I wanna talk about that big snake statue from the new drawtectives ep because I feel like it was kinda glossed over and will probably be important for next ep (if the warning they got at the end is about it, which... it has to be about that, right?)
(Long post, so it's under a cut)
Animatronics seem to be a running theme in all three seasons of Drawtectives. Maybe just because they're cool, but I wonder if there's an overarching storyline going on...
as interested as I am in the Eugene twin theory (twingene?), I do have to throw in that Julia LePetit really really likes animatronics and it would totally track for this to be like, an awakened animatronic Leland made to cover up Eugene's disappearance
Y'know all the snake and rat imagery in the trailer for s3? What if Newgene over here IS the snake and he's pretending to be Eugene.
Furthermore, what if he did the murder.
If he represents a snake, and snakes eat rats, what if he murdered a "rat". What if someone ratted him out (revealed his identity), and so he killed them.
if blonde Eugene IS a secret twin, i vote we start calling him twogene.
