I suppose if it comes to it, I could always cast a simple cloaking spell over the two of us to allow us easier passage past any sentries.” Dr. Orpheus thoughtfully stroked the cat’s head as he spoke. “Although there is no immediate rush, we should attempt to perform the resurrection soon, as part of the process involves me locating the princess’s soul in order to reunite her spirit with her physical form. If we stall for too long, her soul could potentially become lost to me, and there would be little that I could do for her if that were to occur.”

The little green cat had almost fallen asleep from the petting and rambling of the other wizard. Her eyes slowly blinked, still purring for a while, rubbing her cheek against him until she realized what she was doing. She swatted his hand, then jumped out of his arms and turned back to her normal half-dryad form.

“Okay okay, that’s enough of that, old man. Let’s get going then, I’ll show you the way to Emerald City.”
