          “Bit of computer trouble, that’s all. If you’d just wait a moment…

                              There we are. Now… Applesauce. Why don’t you tell me why you decided to see a neurologist?” Aside from the fact that you willingly call yourself Applesauce, a very small part of him wanted to say. He suppressed that, of course, and did, he believed, quite a good job of acting like he was only slightly put off by the name.

Apple rolls her shoulders, leaning back into her seat and noticing now how tightly set her jaw is. Enough to feel an ache by the time she no longer has to wait and can actually speak. There’s a tone to his voice that she (thankfully) doesn’t catch, but she does proceed to correct him.

          “Apple. Please just call me Apple. And I was … advised to see you by my cousin.” Her hands are clasped together in her lap, leaving small impressions due to her grip and her nails. “I haven’t been sleeping well lately and I’ve been getting these really bad headaches. Bad enough to where I can’t stand to walk.” She does pull her hands away long enough to hold up her right hand, which trembles more than it should. “And this has been going on. It’s been two weeks now.”

And she’s convinced she’s fine. Knows she’s fine. She’s just here to appease Alana.
