Shield University 2: Shield Harder
Victor walks quietly across the campus, approaching the dormitory with a familiar ease. It feels like nothing has changed, yet little things jump at him. What do people say? Home sweet home?

drdoomreturns:
He watched as the stranger stared at him. This school was stuffed with too many crazies. Victor let out his anger and frustration by letting the electricity go through the circuits and blowing a few fuses. The sudden cracks made everyone jump and run for cover. But it was nothing to call home about. He sighed and took a deep breath. “It’s… fine. You should not be standing still. This is a very busy… hallway.” He crouched down to the ground, also trying to help with the clean up. “You are new here?”
David carefully dissected the man’s expression (cold, annoyed, judgmental, etc.) before his eyes got stuck on the crackling energy at his hands again. Not scared. Mostly not scared. Just fascinated really...but feelings were always a matter of ratio to him. “That’s...uh...pretty neat...none of mine are like that...” He looked briefly at his own hands, before he forced his eyes back to the man’s face. “New. Yup. I know I shouldn’t...I’m um...pretty good at getting lost. I’m not dumb. Just uh...a little bit fucked in the head. But that’s oversharing...er...which I’m also good at. Heh...”
SU CHALLENGE: Valentine’s Day Moodboard
Last Valentine’s Day, Victor spent it with Valeria and Kristoff. It wasn’t much of a celebration, they didn’t celebrate it, but they got him a book full of photographs from their childhood, and many tokens for him to bring to America. He had felt like a failure, going back to Latveria. But with these gifts, he knew that he would have to try again.
Victor’s first Valentine was when he was four. He had learnt about it through the children in the camps. So he handpicked wildflowers for his mother. She didn’t understand, instead using it as ingredients for her next potion.
This Valentine’s Day, Victor was excited to spend a full day in his lab, without having to deal with cumbersome students. There were no one here worthy of his affections, and he was tired of trying to fix their problems instead of why he was really here. To rescue his mother. Again.
“My life is changing. When I was young, I made a fateful choice. I chose science over sorcery. And I wanted choose again. Thus, I made a pact. I conjured a cabal of netherdemons who claimed they would make me the magician I could have been... and greater besides. But as is too often true demons, there was a barter involved. One condition. I had to sacrifice something of indescribable value. Something irreplaceable.” - Doctor Doom
