A Full-Circle Moment With Osher Günsberg!
Hey there!
Whilst sitting in the BACHELOR production office the other day - having recently jumped on-board to help out for a few days - I bumped into Osher Günsberg. Now, some of you may know this already - while a lot of you don't - but back in 2001, I won a competition to 'hang & host' with Osher and Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) at the Sydney Big Day Out. It was my first foray into television and I haven't forgotten it since…and it seems that Osher didn't quite forget it either. Lo and behold, there was an "OMG, YOU'RE HERE" moment, after which a little reminiscing occurred. What a pleasant surprise, indeed. Nevertheless, we went our separate ways and got back to business-as-usual after that. Days later, I listened to Episode #9 of his podcast and was taken aback by his retelling of that "full-circle moment" at the top of the installment! Feel free to check it out at 00:02:09 - 00:04:20. He certainly didn't have to expand upon the scenario - let alone include it in his personal podcast - but something must have compelled him to tell the story and I'm grateful that he did. The recognition and kind words are greatly appreciated and it's nice to be prompted to look back and reflect on the blood, sweat and tears of the years gone by. What a healthy reminder. I'm ever so grateful, I must say. Please go ahead and check out his podcast, because not only are the guests great, but the topics are so broad and all-encompassing that I'm sure you'll leave feeling satisfied, like after a tasty, wholesome meal. Food for thought, folks! [ http://theoshergunsbergpodcast.tumblr.com/ ]
