I came across these really cool comic panels and I was like “Oh, that’s neat I wonder where it’s from.” and after some digging I found out it was from Blake and Mortimer and I was like “Oh, cool let’s read that.” and that’s when I saw that it wasn’t a comic, but a novel with pictures. More than one panel was 2/3 text. I only managed to read the Yellow M before opting to the animated series. I would like to actually read the comics when I’m less busy, because it requires a bit more brainwork than I can currently muster.

I did really love the art style and wanted to draw some of the fly boys in it and of course Baron, Dickie’s twin. The text next to Baron (or Barry as he’ll be called in the AU, the Dread Baron is more of a battlefield nickname) is from Barry Lyndon. Wow I wonder what it can hint at. For the sketch I used one of John Singer Sargent’s of Edmund Allenby as a reference. Then I felt bad that I didn’t put him in a proper Uhlan/German Lancer uniform (I doubt anyone besides me cares about the historically accurate uniforms that much), so I made the little sketch on a sticky note and taped it in.

I have recently watched the episode of Jellystone not only on YouTube (the YouTube channel is Norwegian 🇳🇴 version of Cartoon Network), but also HBO Max and Cartoon Network on tv (also Norwegian 🇳🇴 version). This is from season 2 episode 15 called Jailcation. This is just like opening a present when I saw a familiar face on this episode. I was surprised to see the character is Dread Baron, especially when he was sent to Santo Relaxo Minimum Security Prison after he was arrested.
