Don and Dixie, my beloved ;-;
I drew Cat and Dum-Dum together several times. And I drew Punkin' and Susie together twice. But I never drew Punkin' and Cat's parents together in a single pic, and I realized I needed to fix that. I love these two so much.
Timeline-wise, this happens after Dixie finally relaxes about seven to eight months after escaping Punkin's POS dad, and she and Don start catching feelings for each other, although due to her experiences, she's more reserved than he is. Ever the gentleman, Don doesn't push her, but is also wholly unafraid to turn on the famed Gutierrez Charm. And invariably, it works. Dixie looks like she's going to pass out, slap him anime-style, or pull a Susie and drag him to a tree. Or do a combo of all three. XD
This picture was super fun to color in. My favorite part has to be the flustered expression on Dix's face, where her whole face looks like it's beet red. The colors on Don's shirt also turned out beautiful, too! I used three different colors that didn't seem like they'd blend together, but they did so perfectly!
