campbell watches her lips as she laughs, as she smiles. she’s got a personality that’s so carefree, to where they should have known she would be here despite the deception that taints her words. it’s enticing to them for reasons that couldn’t be calculated without them coming off as creepy in every possible way. add that to the fact that she doesn’t seem entirely disgusted by their sudden appearance, and like the flip of a light switch campbell’s lips are twisting into a smile in stark contrast to their bitter greeting, and they take a step forward as they sign, “does that mean you want to go to the back and make out?”

xiomara pulls up a stool to lucia’s canvas and sits, knee brushing the dainty legs of the canvas. she’s been sitting all day, but she’d be pacing, otherwise. “the art scene in spain is spectacular, lu. and not just paintings, it’s everything.” xio has alll of her arguments lined up, for when she needs them. “we don’t need a schedule. spain doesn’t work on a schedule. did you know they shut down everything after lunch so people can nap? that’s a thing,” she continues, resting an elbow on her knee, staring expectantly at the girl. “we’re doing it.”
