How I’m slowly returning to Hotd . I swore after the disastrous season 2 I wouldn’t watch the remaining two seasons yet somehow just seeing this barely anything teaser for it got me excited? Perhaps mildly engaged ugh but I gotta remember this is what season 2s trailer did and we all remember what happened with that ….

ok but the fact that dustin would have to be the one to tell the rest of the group about eddie’s death?? just feels so unfair to me. he had to lose one of his best friends alone and then be forced to say the same sentence over and over again: eddie didn’t make it. i feel like a heavy silence would fill the entire room when he finally tells the group, nobody saying or doing anything because what do you mean, eddie didn’t make it? but dustin wouldn’t be able to bring himself to say the actual words; that eddie was dead, because it would feel too permanent. too end of story for a boy who only wanted to play d&d with his friends, learn to play the guitar he spent nearly all his money on, and maybe finally graduate. it would all feel too fucking wrong, having to tell people that eddie munson - a boy who wanted to live despite the odds always being against him - wasn’t coming back.

and he has to come back, right? he has to.
