More and more, I'm convinced that all the various fuckery in the Warcraft universe goes back to Revendreth.
My wow journey was a real interesting one. I was 14 when I made my first character (a Bloodelf) on my dads account, I played really casually, but I remember it was great & people were actually interacting with you nicely. Then my dad stopped playing and so did I.
Years later I was thinking that I actually never knew wtf World of Warcraft was about. I had difficulty to get behind the massive lore, starting from worldcraft 3. I watched all the cinematics and read a lot. I had finally… some idea. I started playing for a while and got through the Horde story part of a Battle for Azeroth. I loved Zandalar to be honest, I loved and still love Troll culture about their Loas and traditions. It’s interesting. The start of Shadowlands made me excited. It had so much potential. I loved Revendreth and the Venthyr & it was such a huge revelation that Denathrius was actually the creator of the Dreadlords… and they did nothing with it. I was so upset that this was just thrown away like trash. People liked Denathrius and they had a connection to the Dreadlords over 20 years. And then comes Zovaal. The big baddy no one actually cares about. I wished he had won. Let him erase reality and let us forget Shadowlands happens at all. This was your opportunity to make wow2. New reality. You can keep your lore. Shadowlands can be a thing. It just wouldn’t matter at all… because we wouldn’t even remember. That would be cool. But whatever. It was a journey a made in just one year: finding wow again, getting deep into its story, get upset how much things make no sense, to completely don’t care at all… lmao
I am going to make a keepsake from the horns of whoever is posing as me.
If we find out that all the venthyr are secretly dreadlords, Imma be pissed
