I got all the feels and I’m not an athlete, but I am a girl who sometimes has strong feelings (Gasp! Horror!) and has been called “unhinged” or “unsteady” for expressing them where my male colleagues were “passionate.”
As someone who’s job it is to look for the nugget or insight that allows great creative teams to make powerful stuff like this, I really wish that I knew whether the insight was intended only for women (or dads of athletic/strong-willed girls), or whether it’s somehow universal and watching people blaze forth in areas where they don’t fit in the expected box is making men have The Feels(TM) too. I mean .. allowing men to be “passionate” ....or whatever.
