[Had to work from 4-10 PM. Had caffeine (can of Diet Coke) at 8 PM and more at 10:30-11 PM (2 glasses Coke Zero). Ate a big meal 10:30-11:00, took 5mg tablet of Natrol Melatonin afterwards. Stayed up, showered, and went to bed at about 12.]
Large hardware store, like a Home Depot. There's a very dark corner of the store devoid of anything except a 30-foot wide circle of dirt with a border of bricks. In the middle, there's a grown oak tree. I look towards another corner and I can see light emanating from an opening leading outside. I can see the shadowy outlines of my friends, but I don't know if they're moving away or to the opening.
I walk past the light and take a right and walk along the back of the store. I check out racks of discounted clearance items like stuffed animals and glassware.
In a ticket line outside an airport. It's a sunny day out. I'm arm-in-arm with a cute girl, early 20ish, with blue eyes. I have a feeling of heady giddiness. Her auburn hair is in a ponytail with a lock going down either side of her face. We're waiting for a plane.
We see near the curb of the airport two rabbits with pink fur. One is struggling because of a large sticker stuck to it. Someone comes up and gets the sticker off, and I think that perhaps I should've done that.
I ask the girl where she's going and I get a pang of regret, as I'm going to Costa Rica but she's going somewhere else. I then get a feeling of sadness as I realize I probably won't see her again. I don't tell her this.
She starts to tell me a story and I can see the story unfold in my head:
There was a princess born with a head much too large for her thumb-sized body. A dwarf (who is the princess' attendant), manages to fix her so that her body grows to its proper size. However, the queen (or maybe the princess?) still has the dwarf punished.
At the end of the story, I woke up.
[I initially thought the moral of the story was that no good deed goes unpunished, but then I realize that the moral is probably that maybe I (or humans in general?) tend/s to 'punish' those who deflate my/our ego and help me/us to grow.]
