i already hate dream, but the fact that he had all these insanely fucking talented people on his smp (mind you, this shit doesn't happen often) and has a lightning-in-a-bottle story that spawned over the course of a pandemic and gained so much massive internet fame to a point where it leaked into the real world (remember Trump replying to Quackity? Lil Nas X going on the dsmp?)

and he just. blew it.

like it boggles my mind.

this is the same guy who swore up and down this year that things would be better, that communication would improve, that vol 2 would be a new era for the smp and we'd get constant lore.

vol 2 was meant to begin back in September. no wonder c!wilbur's finale was so rushed.

with all this shit coming out about the finale, it's becoming more and more clear that basically none of the cc's were really consulted about this finale and it appears to have just come up randomly and wasn't planned in advance.

even ignoring the Allegations, this is still such a shit thing to do to your fellow ccs. you would think given how popular the dsmp is and how much it supposedly matters to dream himself, he'd be busting his ass to make sure that every cc is heard, and that if he needed help he'd have a few co-managers to keep track of lore and everything.

BUT NOPE.

instead we got a rushed c!wilbur finale (that is pointless now bc vol 2 is still not out), a damage control, impulse-made c!tommy finale (that shitted on everything c!tommy's story meant) and a syndicate finale that was good, but it could've been Great if the amnesia plot wasn't chucked in.

part of me genuinely believes dsmp doesn't matter to dream outside of money anymore, bc that man hasn't interacted w the lore in good faith in well over a year by now. every time this year he logged on, it was to either do damage control lore, or to help snf piss off fans.

most of the issues trace back to him, bc it just seems Oh So Funny that his character was the central conflict to s4 (or rather, was supposed to be) and yet he fucked off for almost a year. not even c!tommy's plot with c!phil and c!sapnap happened bc they needed dream and woopdy-doo it didn't fucking happen.

and if even tommy couldn't reach dream, why the fuck would anyone else be able to?

My main takeaway from people watching the dream video and still hating on him is the 'guilty until proven innocent' mentality.

Was this all concrete evidence? No.

Was it more concrete then the accusations against him? Yeah.

Of course it's not waterproof, he says so at the beginning that it's Damm hard to proof something *didn't* happen.

Stop this 'guilty until proven innocent' it gets us nowhere.

Dream should just not be able to participate in the next 2 or 3 MCCs.

This isn't even about him being a top player this is about him, time and time being an immature person.

Yes you are allowed to feel certain ways. No, it was the right decision. No, you can't even begin to some how try to make a metaphor comparing it to Covid.

This man is an adult that constantly has to complain about anything that could go wrong which in itself is fine even if annoying .

It's the fact that he has such a big platform with such a well, immature/naive/young audience who follows him like lap dogs and barks at everyone that comes into their way. I know that's it not a big part of the fandom but it's still bad enough that so many just blindly follow what he says.

Another player should not expect hate when he does better.

The people who are responsible for organizing the whole thing should not be getting death threats over a silly little video game competition.

And most importantly Scott should not have to expect slurs when he makes any decision regarding games when there is trouble.

And Dream knows it. I am tired of pretending like Dream isn't aware of the huge big part of his audience that always seems to resurface in these moments. He's aware of what they do.

So no, there's no excuses. He knowingly said all those things aware of what his fans will do.

I am tired of pretending like he doesn't know or isn't responsible. Every time he chooses to rant on stream for a long amount of period than he chooses to accept any consequences with it.

I have watched many people have bad MCCs before (which this clearly wasn't as he still won) even with some decision they thought unfair yet there has never been any backlash expected the way it is when it's Dream.

He's an adult. He is aware of his words to choose from. He knows the behaviour that his fans often times show. He fully understands the consequences that his action can and will have.

And yet he has shown no signs of improvement, learning or even understanding what's wrong with his behaviour.

So benching him or rather deliberately excluding him from MCC is a completely acceptable option.

c!dream continuously goes after the same kid to control him with his most prized possessions and only gives 'technical independence' once he's guaranteed power over this kid, frames him for griefs he and puffy went around doing, will NOT let him go after probation, immediately harps on about EXILE after incredibly vague terms like "if he so much as breathes in the wrong direction", taunts him during his trial, keeps him in an enclosed space and takes away any progress he makes and repeatedly lies and controls him and his surroundings in order to make him complacent and dependent on him, frames him for ANOTHER, more significant grief and demands another piece of control over him, WIPES OUT his home to bedrock and when told that their story us over tells him "youre too Fun" and goes on about how he's the hero and how heroes need backstories so he'll have to kill his best friend and Lock him up in the same prison hes in now which 'Coincidentally' has most if not all of this teenager's triggers, and says he won't kill him because he needs him for the game and that /he/ wont kill him because "they have so much fun together" and after MONTHS of torture, when given the chance to ask a perceived ally about his friends or life outside or how they're gonna get out, he asks about Tommy. That's not 'once in a 2 hour stream'.

But I was talking about the 2 hour stream.

So you incentivise hate against Hbomb by cussing him out live in front of 100k people, don't even ask people to stop being terrible even though Hbomb has said publicly it upset him and then have the audacity to finally admit that you would've done it too? Dream and Sapnap stop accusing people of cheating when you are streaming with over 50K viewers challenge. The mcc rewatch/analysis stream isn't the first time they've done this. They also did it to tubbo during the mr beast challenge back in december. Stop feigning ignorance, you should know better by now that saying "don't send hate" WILL NOT WORK!

Settle things off streams and behind the scenes. Your fanbase is rabid, how has it not gotten through to you by now how much influence you have over people. You're only making things worse for not only mcc, but for yourself when you eventually have to deal with people SENDING DEATH THREATS OVER A MC MINIGAME EVENT.

c!dream antis don't like Dream, that is why - they say that c!Dream fans only like the character b.c Dream plays him, but I bet half of them dislike the character (or more importantly the fans instead of the character) b/c Dream plays him and the use abuse as the excuse so people don't realize that.

not to mention the amount of people that insinuate cc!dream is an abuse apologist if he redeems his own fictional character is disgusting and makes me sick to see. people are entitled to their own opinions re: characters and creators but the moment they start insinuating that creators are in some way to blame for or related to a character’s actions, or the minute they start disrespecting a creator’s Very Clear Boundaries (ie. adding fucking roleplay tags to posts that say “dream is manipulative and an abuser”) for a cheap shot at said creator is when it goes too far. and you only ever see it from non-smiletwt/dteam mains — aka, people most likely in the dsmp fandom to hate cc!dream ,, fandom do better bc i am sick and tired of seeing it /neg
