I don't know if this counts as the dream subscription thing, because story/writing dreams are a semi-frequent occurrence for me but I read Kef's post on Decepticon Prowl and Autobot Jazz the other day, and dreamed about it last night lol.
Wish the dream were more detailed so I would have more to work with story wise but it was still fun lol
That being said I would like to check my subscription type to make sure I can expect more dreams in the future and if my subscription has expired I would like to renew it thank you lol
I find it fascinating when characters are allowed to be viciously and ruthlessly competent- I recently watched Tfa, and there's a part in the end battle when Optimus and Megs are fighting the Starscreams together, back to back, and instead of it becoming a grudging allies things, Megatron waits for a good opportunity after he's regained his battle momentum and they've done enough damage that he is confident he can handle things himself- and uses Optimus as a fucking. Shield.
Pushes him directly into the line of fire, then swings him around to be a shield while grinning like a magnificent bastard (go to Red from OSP for where I got the phrase magnificent bastard lol)
It was VERY tactically smart, ruthless, cunning, quick on his feet and I did NOT see it coming- very in character for him, and I love how well they were able to show all those traits with that one choice

Maybe not in that particular flavor, but Prowl as a tactically ruthless, hold-nothing-back Decepticon? Ooooo, gears are turning lol
If I'm going to adore a character, especially enough to write them, there has to be a moral "in" for me though. They can't be ruthlessly cruel without some redemptive qualities somewhere, I need to be able to believe they can make good choices and do good things, or have bad things they need to escape for me to really root for or love them.
So I can't really commit to an only Decepticon Prowl- but in the post Keferon said that they want the redemption to be well/hard earned (paraphrasing) and oooooooooo yes, brain likes that very much lol. There being a redemption arc gives me the moral "in" I need to get properly committed and invested while also allowing him to be a ruthless cunning (magnificent bastard) and highly competent character
Plus solidly Autobot Jazz being Jazz and also Meister and a spy and slag? Ohhhhh that is radioactive lol. Just look at Random Cockroach's animatics, and like, if I could pull off in a written story what they pulled off in those animatics? Oh heeellllll yeah lol. (I've watched those animatics so many times lmao they infest my mind, not only rent free, but with offerings provided in gratitude lol)
I don't know how to write that story or where to start, I feel like I would need to have Jabberish (author of Momu) levels of competence (which I do not) but the idea is electric enough I may attempt it anyway sometime lol
My current plan is to continue ruminating on and thinking about it until I have something I can work with because ohhhh I do not want to lose this lol
