4th Annual A Brighter Future for Children Charity Gala
There is no higher purpose than that of helping children whose lives are plagued by serious illness. Which is precisely why the DreamBuilders Gala last week was was so important with its proceeds donated to Children's Hospital Los Angeles directly benefitting Mark Taper and Johnny Mercer Artists Program.
The Gala faithfully fulfilled its promise as a Hollywood spectacular black tie event. Music, dancing, and a great deal of schmoozing made for an undercurrent of frivolity, but it was kind-hearted generosity that ruled the night with hands reaching deep into pockets and purses.
Such events remind us all that we are not alone in this world, that we are in it together and that we truly need each other. Events like the DreamBuilders Gala is proof that we can make a difference that truly matters. Because when we put a smile on a suffering child's face, the world is a much more beautiful place. And when we fill a child's heart with hope that dreams can come true, that they can dream of a better tomorrow... You're alive! There is no greater gift.
So, thanks to all who make a difference. I feel very fortunate I was able to participate in such a worthy cause.
