Meet Tan Niya — the eldest daughter of the Tan clan, hereditary jeweler-protectors from Liyue. Or just Niya.
If you're strolling through the harbor and keep hearing "Sister Niya!" from all directions — know that she's back in the capital once again.
Niya is a young woman with a big heart and an extraordinarily sensitive soul. Since childhood, she's always seen the world a little differently. Open, curious, and sincere — sometimes fearless in her own feelings, but always careful with the feelings of others.
She never sought a Vision, nor did she chase power. For her, it wasn't a reward — it became a symbol of trust and responsibility. A reminder that even a small stream can one day lead a traveler home.
The Tan clan has for generations crafted special ornaments from a mineral known as "Celestial Ice." These pieces accompany life's most important moments: weddings, festivals, coming-of-age ceremonies, and rites of remembrance — they also serve as protective charms. By family tradition, only the women of the clan can enchant and bestow these ornaments, so Niya has accompanied her father on travels across Liyue since she was young, helping with the family craft.
During one of these journeys, she spoke words that changed her fate: "I want to be a place people can come back to."

Since then, Niya has continued to wander Liyue, blending her family's craft with helping others. She knows how to listen without judgment, comfort without diminishing someone's pain, and connect hearts as naturally as rivers eventually find their way to the sea.
