Where language meets the field
Balancing Spanish, hockey and everyday life has taught me more than any classroom ever could. In the morning, I’m practicing vocabulary and learning how to express myself in a new language; in the afternoon, I’m on the hockey pitch pushing my limits. Both require discipline, patience and resilience. There are days when assignments pile up, my body feels exhausted from training and self-doubt tries to take over. But I’ve learned that growth happens in discomfort. Spanish reminds me to be consistent; hockey teaches me to stay strong under pressure and life forces me to manage my time wisely. It’s not always easy to balance it all, but through planning, determination and believing in myself, I’m learning that passion and responsibility can exist together — and that every struggle is shaping me into someone stronger.
