Zarina was in the blackened forest yet again. Despite the danger, the fairy enjoyed roaming around the unknown. It was her recklessness, taste for danger, something that one day was going to get her killed.
But for now she embraced it. She paced herself through the forest with light steps, reaching out to every branch and tree she could touch. Her eyes were accustomed to the never-ending darkness that embodied the island. It wasn't as liberating as the sea, but it was something new and adventurous.
She memorized every barky and leafy sensation she felt against her hands as she moved forward. Maybe they would somehow help her later.
Because Zarina was completely lost.
It didn't concern the fairy, as much as it should, that she had no idea how to get back to the ship now. Pirate or fairy, she never had a keen sense of direction, and she doubted that she ever would.
But that all suddenly slipped from Zarina's mind when she saw a figure up ahead. She paused for a moment, observing, before moving in. Whoever it was, was someone small and dainty. They had long think hair, a girl?
The fairy would never have thought to see a young girl alone in the forest. A Lost Boy perhaps, maybe even a fairy, but not a human girl.
She thought for a second before calling out to the person, her voice guarded "Hello?"
Maybe this was a bad idea, what if who ever it was, was dangerous? Maybe she should just turn around and head back now. But curiosity nabbed whatever little common sense Zarina possessed, and she was now slowly approaching whoever was there
