Gratitude Post #6:
Today I am grateful for the imperfect world that I live in. I love all the good and accept all the bad. I’m grateful for the hike I took on Friday. Feeling the air on my face allowed me to take in the struggles I had been facing. Being surrounded by cactus's made me realize I am one. I stand tall when things get hard and grow sharp ends as a defense mechanism. I’m grateful for the sun shining down on my face. It radiates all I need to get through the day. I understand that this struggle is testing not only my faith but my will to keep going and falling in love with this thing called life. It’s a love-hate relationship that doesn’t seem to know the meaning of neutrality. Instead it bounces from one extreme to the next.
I’m grateful for the creative path my life has taken. Photography, film, dance, and theatre all teach me that anything is doable. That we can create the life we live. It doesn’t have to be permanent but temporary and aligns with our belief systems. That the expression of our thoughts doesn’t have to be violent or misleading. They can be simple or as nonlinear as possible. An escape from our day-to-day stresses.
I’m grateful for my life. For being able to major in what I love. Building characters that shape and inform myself as an individual in a variety of ways. Life is short and I want to feel and live in the moment. Not sit in the sidelines waiting for something to happen.
Have a great day everyone. These Monday posts have been helping me a lot recently. From sore ballet days to late study nights posting on this blog is what I look forward to. It’s not my job but something that fills my heart with joy.
