Yes, he's finally here!!! The second in the probably thousand yard line of ref sheets and lore of Dreamloop!
Buuuut if were gonna excuse the fact he looks like he gives warm hugs (seriously that cardigans making me all warm and fuzzy idk bout you-) Let's just get to their whole lore because Ho-ho-HOLY SHIT IS IT ALOT!!!
After WOTFI '25, Puzzles, WPNZ and Toomp (yes, in my version Toomp comes with them) end up.. somewhere, maybe another world or the edge of time itself, can't really say because I never figured that out, but however or wherever you put it, they end up getting pretty lost in such a vast, odd place.. however, that is until Puzzles stumbles upon a mysterious star. With nothing to lose, he quickly brings it to the others and he immediately jumps to wishing for a way out, however that went a bit awry as they all had different ideas on what to use it for, WPNZ wanted to wish for somewhere to stay and to have something to eat while Toomp.. well, neither really could guess what he wanted. With a sigh of disappointment, he decides to take the star for himself, until he realized.. why would they want to get out at all? They've done too much harm, and besides.. they've got eachother, and that mattered more than anything. And so, they all compromised and Puzzles decided to wish for a shared dream, one that would finally give them a good nights rest after all they've gone through.
While he does share the dream with WPNZ and Toomp, he prefers to isolate himself from them (you can only guess why), creating his own separate part of it called "Puzzle World" where he eagerly awaits any visitors who come by, always ready to put on a show.
For this reason, Puzzles would pretty much serve as the Loop for the most part (if their outfit didn't scream that already), being the one to cause it and the one to spread it to others, giving the dreamers each a turn to spare himself the suffering once and for all. However, this quickly backfires once WPNZ gets his turn.
Despite all of that, he still cares for them deeply, not just WPNZ and Toomp but also the dreamwalkers (Meggy, Melony, SMG3, Sharb and Peep), and he truly didn't want to put them through the suffering he went through over all the loops, but alas.. what else was he to do to spare himself the constant restarting of an infinitely repeating dream?
And of course 4/Athrú and him are going to have the PARALLELS, primarily with how they left their worlds behind and severed themselves from reality due to circumstances beyond their control. (See 2 Hats for a better understanding)
Aaannd.. yeah I think that's about it, I do have a LOT more to say because I love him just as much as 4 and I could go ON about the layers and complexity these two have, but of course I have to shine the spotlight on the others at some point, wouldn't be fair would it?
And I kinda half-lied about the surprise, it's going to be a separate post because it's a gift to a rather famous Puzzle fan, not naming names but I will say this again..
