Hey, I just heard about Dreamshift. I was wondering if there were any drawings of "Hope" I think his name was? The Dream?

This is my most recent ref of him (I’m not a good artist) but honestly the designs for the cast could stand for an update.

Hey, Zu, idk if you’ve ever been asked about this kinda thing before, what’re your thoughts on an Errorified Dream?

I’ve had this idea for a Role Change story called DreamShift (Think the StoryShift AU but on a multiversal scale) and one of the main characters is called Hope. He’s a Dream who takes the Role of Error in the multiverse. He got stuck in the Antivoid for a while after a fight against Nightmare and it really messed his code up, but he escaped before being fully Errorified. (He’s kinda like Blue from DreamSwap, to give you a point of comparison.)

Anyway, Hope’s whole schtick is being an embodiment of Toxic Positivity. He goes around destroying Dark/Evil AUs, thinking that’s the best way to help Hope prosper in the Multiverse. He also occasionally will use his Aura of Positivity to influence others to his cause, creating an almost cult like following of loyal allies.

Basically he’s the type of villain who thinks he’s working for a good cause, and is too delusional to realize that he might be doing more harm than good.

I’d like to hear your thoughts on the idea, maybe even share some more bits about the character/story because the domino effect caused by the role shift has some interesting results.

If you alter outer with killer he could have a black hole or astroid theme

That’s a Swap tho, not a shift. Go look for NightSwap (I think that’s what it’s called) if you wanna see that. The creator also swapped duos like Dust and Blue, Horror and Lust, Ink and Error, etc.

But that’s not the point. Besides if I just start swapping EVERY Sans in the multiverse, that’ll get way too crowded and hard to keep track of.

I’m sticking to the ten that got shifted, just like how ten characters were shifted in StoryShift. Everyone else retains their original backstories, and instead we see how the new power dynamic of the Multiverse affects them.

Do you plan on shifting more character's

Nah, same as how StoryShift only shifts the central cast, I’m only shifting the ten Sanses that I listed, and then I’m letting the butterfly effect alter everyone else.

Case in point: the Murder Time Trio never gets formed in this multiverse since Dust and Killer work for Death, but Horror sides with Despair.

Besides, what would I even do if I shifted someone like Outer? What does someone gain by entering his role? A space aesthetic? What would be the point of that???
