The crossroads is magical! When you hustle so hard and driven by ambition to make those dreams you constantly think about to come true; it gets frustrating. In the beginning you're just trying to figure out how to turn those passions into monetary gain so you can actually LIVE on your passions. It's a tough journey, one I can personally attest to. The highs and lows are a roller coaster. Some days you might want to quit and stick to a "regular" job. But once things start clicking, when your ambition drives you to that junction of purpose....you begin understanding WHY you're so passionate about whatever "it" is. Then you begin to reap the fruit of your labor in the countless hours you've spent refining your craft, and that is where your value comes in! At that junction of ambition and purpose, it makes sense....and that's where the magic starts!! #dreamsnambition

Sometimes the chips are just stacked against you. And unfortunately, there are people who enjoy seeing you in points of darkness or weakness. But once you make it a rule to never quit...then you become a big threat. Everyone doesn't have the resilience to conquer, sustain and push through the challenges that come with growth and success. It's not how many times you fall, but your ability to rise again that counts. It's extremely difficult and almost impossible to defeat one who never gives up...be that one! Why do I post late at night/early morning?? That's usually when I'm reading, watching or listening to learn things I want to know more about, or improve on what I already know. Living passionately to make my vision come to life forces me to continuously seek out how to add value. You are your brand, so believing in your brand should be synonymous with believing in yourself! If you don't practice what you preach or believe in your teaching then why should anyone else?! Your brand is who you are! The reason I've been known as a marketing expert is because whenever I worked with a brand, I embodied everything about that company. I took pride and ownership in being a part of that entity. Due to the types of companies I was working with everyone associated me with the clothing industry, which I don't mind because I do love clothes, however I've never enjoyed being placed in a box. But through my experiences @fivefour especially, I've learned more about the fashion industry and that's grown my appreciation and passion for it. Most of all, my experiences have taught me more about myself...I'm passionate about business development! I enjoy talking about passions, dreams, goals etc. and finding ways to make those come to life monetarily in most cases, hence the marketing expertise. So my message to you is to think about the things you absolutely love to do without getting paid for it, the weirdest or littlest of them...build a brand around that and you can make it a business. It really was! That's the way it starts, as a dream, a vision, an idea! That light bulb comes on and you begin working on it. Running across challenges along the way that can be discouraging and painful to go through. But once you go through some of those challenges you begin to realize why they're there. See every has a dream, but few are willing to go through the challenges that come along with making it reality. And when you realize that, your view on challenges change because with everything you overcome, it strengthens you and reminds you of how bad you want it. Without pain there isn't joy. Without fear, courage doesn't exist. The dream is free...what it takes to make it reality is up to you. Trust the process guys. I've taken a lot of routes up until this point, and as life continues to unravel they begin to make sense. It's almost like a puzzle, even though a piece doesn't fit now...that doesn't mean it's not part of the big picture! I had my daughter right out of college, right when everyone was expecting me to move on to a budding professional career in soccer. The journey since has been extremely challenging, having to struggle with my identity beyond being a soccer player. But it's also been an experience that has propelled my growth as a man and father. Now I'm capable of seeing beyond just a sport; what's life like when what you're tunnel visioned on is taken away? That forces you to think outside the box. I'm glad to be learning sooner than later. My goal is not just to give business advice, but to do it from a personal perspective from someone who's really started from scratch and even through failures and trials has gained so much knowledge in the process. Everything you go through, especially those shitty times, will come in handy at some point. It may be for you, or to help someone else. YOU are your most valuable asset! Which is why it's widely agreed upon by many successful people to invest in yourself. Purchasing things or paying for knowledge that will only increase value is considered an asset. So instead of buying a fancy car, buy real estate...why? Because Real Estate appreciates, a car depreciates! Knowledge doesn't depreciate either, unless you never use it. The beautiful thing about living in a country with so many resources is...you can get so much for FREE!! I appreciate this bcuz I go to Nigeria every year, and there are still parts of the world where people can't always just google or YouTube things to get information in seconds! Either bcuz there's no consistent electricity or no computer/smartphone. I spend so much time on YouTube and googling for articles on anything I want to learn and gain more knowledge on everyday!! It's not that people don't know that they can do that, but their too lazy to take the time out to learn it. Yet these same types of people complain when it's time to pay for the advice/knowledge from someone else. Why do attorney's/doctors cost so much?? They simply have a knowledge and understanding you don't! If you don't want to pay for their service, then you'd have to take the TIME to learn yourself! You'll have to pay one way or the other...your TIME or your MONEY. The wealthy and smart people in this world understand that time is more valuable than money, hence why they don't mind paying for certain luxuries, such as a valet, maid, personal assistant, or private jet. It may not be that their lazy or show-offs, or even being stupid with their money...it's being used as a leverage for time! Time that can be used doing what they really want to do, and that looks different for each individual. Everyone you fight isn't your enemy, and everyone who helps you isn't your friend! Beware of how and why people want to be associated with you. One hard lesson I've learned the hard way is everyone doesn't have the same intentions as you may have. Your kindness will be taken advantage of. Integrity, Loyalty & Honesty are rare attributes these days, so when you possess those genuinely....you're good for friendships and business but may not be aware of it...because that's just who you are. Realize the worth of that early, and don't settle for less than your worth. You know what you bring to the table, and no amount of money can buy any of that.
