Say hi to Rockman-chan Blues. There's not much of Rockman-chan translated into English on MangaDex, and what is there is... weird. Weird enough to make me kinda uncomfortable.
It's a parody comic, but so was Rockman-san, and... well, let's just say, they're nothing alike. The official English should be coming out soon under the title Little Mega Man, so I'll probably read it just to know it's full content, but I expect to get it from the library, I don't think I wanna own this one, y'all.
So far Blues himself seems fine, tho, from what I have read. Just... whistles... everything... he talks by whistling... and that's... really dumb, lmao.
rocky and roll are entirely human-passing but theres a few other robots that at least have a human face with clear robotic features (their most notable are their arms)
based on the fact their jobs are teachers and flight attendants im assuming that because their jobs require them to work with/directly serve humans often they are given a human face to be less off-putting whereas non-humanoid robots are treated poorly due to being entirely robotic. given rockys personal fears about being outed as a robot these types of bots are probably still disrespected regardless of the fact that they look human. also notably these types of robots appear to be exclusively women

As you can see, we have Regal and Baryl from the Battle Network games, Regal and Yuriko from the NT Warrior anime, Bert from Fully Charged, and Wily's nephews from Dreamwave.
I... feel weird including the Dreamwave kids, because like... for some reason, Wily calling them his nephews FEELS like a lie... but I have... no reason... to doubt him? They call him uncle, I... it just feels weird.

its mostly just scattered ideas at the moment and im trying to find a coherent way to bring up at least the things off the top of my head currently.. cuz a lot of it IS just complaining about how poorly handled the final issue was lol BUT ITS MOSTLY BECAUSE I WANT TO EXPLORE THE WILY THEY INTRODUCED US TO AND THAT WILY IS NOTHING LIKE THE WILY (wiley) WE GET IN ISSUE 4-

hes introduced to us as a nice old man who is the boltz brothers's uncle. clearly we know this is a deception but the characters dont know. nothing comes of it since hes just regular evil wily in the finale
(also he has a cane i think he should remain a cane user instead of also being a deception- im assuming thats what they were planning)
i think it would be interesting for him to keep the act going for longer, maybe taking advantage of only being seen as an innocent older man to manipulate situations for his benefit which would probably end up with an arc more akin to the games plot of robot masters being reprogrammed and wreaking havoc (and maybe dr light ACTUALLY getting kidnapped. thats kind of implied in the actual series but then in the final issue he just shows up willingly and wilys clearly not expecting him? so his house is just blown up for fun?)
i dont know exactly when this would take place, if its while wily is pretending to just be a regular old man or after he shows his true colors and maybe disappears briefly, but another thing i talk about a bit is bass actually showing up in the series. my interpretation of him in this world is being like rocky, a human-passing android that can transform into his fighting robot self but has to go to middle school. that part is mostly because i think the moments that could come of it would be funny, like the boltz brothers being his "cousins" end up acting as his goons and are generally less of a threat than they start off as since bass is the actual threat now, and i also like the sort of "living with the villain" trope for them where they find out each others secret identity but for their own reasons dont out each other so class Sucks for them. also i guess officially since ive joked about it so much bass's civilian name is kevin. i wish i had an img 4 this part but dreamwave bass is entirely within my mind (i was actually looking to see if i could edit a panel 4 fun so he could be real but i want to draw him someday) however he does make an appearance in mega-mail fanart

i would also love to explore the id chips thing more but that is a whole other ramble on its own- the robot masters probably dont exactly need them but it would be interesting for dr light to create more chips to present them with the first line or whoever but most of these bots already dont have them, i guess the only reason to even introduce that is for even more conflict and im not sure if its necessary since the bots getting snatched and reprogrammed so easily is already a big concern for people on its own, but like initially blaming it on the id chips if the fact they were reprogrammed isnt known yet sounds interesting when it comes to rocky having to try passing as a human and hearing all of the criticisms and insults flung around about robots like that (and he would probably get shunned a little if it tainted dr lights reputation.. though most of the students dont seem to recognize that rocky IS a light?)
HOWEVER ON THE TOPIC OF THE CHIPS!!!!!! roll needs to have a bigger role in this. because of the fact she Doesnt have an id chip shes tossed to the side and im not sure if they even actually remembered she existed until the final issue. i think it would be neat if they BOTH had gotten id chips and got to go to school together. and like, in general the Other characters should be explored more. if you want to build a relationship between rocky and chelsea, we should see it! alan is also there! have these characters involved in some of the conflicts instead of being trapped in that damn middle school and ROLL DOES STUFF!!!!!! PLEASE LET ROLL DO STUFF AT ALL IN ANYTHING!!!! PRETTY PLEAASE
in dreamwave i could see her being a similar supporting role as her ruby-spears counterpart or maybe suna but i would like to see her also Enjoy passing as a human as opposed to rocky for the most part dreading it, he warms up as the series goes on but roll seems the type to get right into it or maybe even long for it. and also at some point it would be fun for chelsea and alan to learn about rocky and roll, though perhaps the conflict and angst potential is too juicy... i can see alan being the first to learn but that adds ANOTHER layer of drama for rocky and chelseas relationship as per The Usual Tropes with identity issues and picking one person over the other to reveal that kind of secret to...
the story would mostly keep to the premise presented in the comics but the usual mega man formula is needed i just feel like by the first line aka mega man 1(or powered up?) adaption it would kind of almost feel like a definitive climax- but also im just thinking of these things all at once so it just feels like that probably I WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE A MM4 ARC IN THIS AU i have a cossack bias in general but i literally just imagined exchange student kalinka.. they dont really have to do Every Single Game as an arc anyways a robot can just be introduced or cause mischief they were already doing that with heat man and the other cameos (however i would like to keep the origin of the first line similar to canon at the very least, like that wily just stole them and they are not wilybots it feels like its supposed to be implied in issue 4 when you see all the bots in the background and stuff)
i would also like to bring up proto man i dont have a lot of coherent ideas for him i just wanted to mention how he does not have a lot of his character from the games, but again i feel like a lot of it can be explained by the comic having to put everything into 4 issues. it could be more fitting to back up and just trying to rewrite and reintroduce him differently than he does in the original version of the story but i would love to also just try to write around it and give him his proper character development.. though i honestly have no idea what exactly they were going for with him to begin with. this is a whole other can of worms that could be its own thing but with clearly much more on-paper brainstorming from me im only bringing this up to express my desire to dissect him
oh my god thats too much yapping i dont know if you got any of that my minds kind of blank now but im sure theres more theres already things i sort of left out because it would make the post way too long even if you want that of me lol. this is mostly me trying to work with the premise you could easily just rewrite it to focus more on being canon-compliant but i like trying to write around what they gave us unless its too stupid or bad
