ugh my dad/stepmom do this with my 5yo brother, saying shit like "x is for girls, you don't need to play with/like it" it's gotten to the point where i straight up tell my dad, "i played with hot wheels as a kid, i think he can play with a barbie"
yeah like i always try and undo the damage and tell the kid that he can like whatever he likes, but im only around him so often... im thinking im just gonna have to tell my uncle straight up that it's not ok to try and force anything on him and that they're gonna mess him up in the long run :///
