The drekavac is an undead monster from Slavic folklore. Descriptions of the creature vary, but it is most often said to be a small, furry humanoid with long claws.
The drekavac comes from the souls of sinful men who die without being baptised. Originally, it was said to walk the Earth only during the twelve days of Christmas and early spring, sometimes in the form of a child. If the drekavac's shadow falls across a person, they will quickly sicken and die.
